About us

H.E.A.R.S. Audiology, P.C. (Hearing Education, Assessment & Related Services), is owned and operated by Kathleen Page, M.A., F.A.A.A., New York State licensed and Board Certified audiologist specializing in pediatrics, Auditory Processing Disorders, and hearing aids. H.E.A.R.S. began as a strictly mobile practice providing on-site hearing and speech screening services to private schools, preschools and day care centers. Our goal was to identify ear and hearing-related difficulties as early as possible in order to facilitate prompt and effective management. We believe that early identification is key to preventing unnecessary developmental delays and hearing-related learning problems in children.

Having moved from a small office in Kings Park, New York, to a larger facility in neighboring Smithtown, audiological services are now provided to children and adults. Our services include: diagnostic audiological evaluations, hearing aid dispensing, assessments for Auditory Processing Disorders, Hearing Conservation Programs, and custom hearing protection such as: swim plugs, musician ear monitors, and other hearing protection devices. Contractual audiological services are also currently provided to residents of nursing facilities, private hearing aid dispensing offices, educational institutions, and physicians. H.E.A.R.S. was also contracted by Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center on Long Island to provide a comprehensive review and subsequent recommendations for their Newborn Hearing Screening Program.

n keeping with our mission of early identification of hearing-related difficulties, H.E.A.R.S. Audiology continues to operate its mobile division, offering customized mobile screening services. Our on-site hearing screening service remains unsurpassed and is the most comprehensive you are likely to find anywhere.

With 40 years experience and counting, services are delivered with compassion, patience, and respect. Bilingual services (Spanish) are available. At H.E.A.R.S. Audiology, our clients are made to feel like they came to the right place. Everyone is welcome and no one is ever rushed out the door.
